The Church

  • Ask the Lord to provide a special time of fellowship, learning, and rest for each of the women attending the upcoming Women’s Retreat, 26-28 March, in Kentucky.

  • Pray for the Highlands Presbytery as they meet later this month to deal with a difficult situation, that there would be unity in Christ and that God would be glorified.

  • Please continue to pray for the men participating in Officer training, that they would increase in wisdom and be able to discern the Lord's calling them to serve in this capacity.

  • Pray for those teaching each week, (Sunday school, Bible studies, etc.) for God’s equipping and that the Holy Spirit would work through them powerfully to clearly communicate His Word.

  • Thank the Lord for using Brad M. in the construction a “Cry Room,” and pray that he would use it to allow Moms to participate in a greater way in corporate worship while caring for their children.

  • Pray for those participating in our various Bible studies during the week, that the Lord will use these studies powerfully "for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the [men and women of Providence] may be complete, equipped for every good work" (2 Tim 3:16).

  • Pray for the Outreach Team as they plan to hold their first meeting soon. Ask the Lord to use the members of Providence in a powerful way to be a witness to the lost in our community.

  • Pray for all members of Providence, that we would be diligent in daily attendance to prayer and to God’s Word. Also pray for the Lord to prepare us for the upcoming sermon series on prayer.

Missions

  • Garth & Katie Randall (missionaries to S. Africa) - Ask the Lord to continue to watch over Garth, Katie, and family, and that he would prosper His work through them both in S. Africa and here in Murphy.  Also pray for the Lord's timing in their return to S. Africa.

  • Sandra Hart & Michelle De Leon (ministry to Philippines) - pray for the effectiveness of the training the team is doing to reach many in both churches and schools.

  • Scott & Ruth Hill (missionaries to Cherokee) - Pray for their family, for their team (including Norman & Julie Beck as they minister to youth and young adults), and for Grace Community Church (church plant), that the Lord will add to their numbers those who are being saved.

Prayer Needs for Specific People

  • Alt family - as they settle into their home in Waynesville.

  • Carol Donaldson’s granddaughter, Emma (Murfreesboro TN), delivered a stillborn baby boy a couple of weeks ago, after being very close to expected delivery. Please pray for Emma and Dylan, and for Carol’s family.

  • Terry & Marilyn - ask the Lord to give them strength, as they continue daily to battle physical ailments and limitations.

  • Lynne Williams - continues to experience severe respiratory problems.
